Switching from another POS

Switching systems is the part most store owners dread, so we made the move as short as we could.

1. Bring your stock

Export your inventory from your current system as a CSV (most POS systems have an export), or use a spreadsheet. The import shows a preview first: which rows matched the catalog, which became new items, and anything that needs fixing. Nothing is saved until you confirm.

2. Set up the store

Signup sets up sales tax for your province, a register, rewards and your SKU prefix. A short checklist walks you through the rest: your address, tax numbers, staff, an approval PIN and your website.

3. Run a sale

Open the drawer, scan something and take a payment. If you keep your own card machine, record the card payment and the drawer still balances at the end of the day.

Your data stays yours

Owners can download everything as CSV files whenever they want, including after cancelling. Gift cards export with their full codes, so you can honour them in any system.

Questions

What can I import?

Your stock list, from your current POS's CSV export or a spreadsheet. Each row is matched to the catalog by UPC, then by title and platform; anything that doesn't match becomes its own item with your price.

Do I have to change card machines?

No. You can keep your current card terminal and record those payments in the POS, or connect Stripe card readers when you're ready.

Can I leave later?

Yes. Owners can export everything (inventory, customers, sales, trade-ins, store credit and gift cards) as CSV files at any time.

30-day free trial. No card needed. For stores in Canada.
