BinderPOS review 2026: pricing, pros and cons for card and game stores

Published October 21, 2026

Disclosure: we make Game Store Software, which competes with BinderPOS for some stores. Every fact below comes from TCGplayer's own BinderPOS page, linked in the price table, with the date we checked.

What BinderPOS is

BinderPOS is a point of sale and website for trading card game stores, owned by TCGplayer. It runs on top of Shopify: all of its features need an active Shopify account. It brings singles and sealed product databases with automatic price updates every 12 hours, and a buylist tool that applies store credit automatically.

Pricing

Two published plans, Binder and Binder Pro, billed monthly in US dollars (prices in the table above). The full cost of running it includes your Shopify plan, and online sales through your website carry a 2% commission.

What it does well

  • Built for TCG stores. Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon and other card games are the centre of the product.
  • Price data. Singles and sealed databases that update automatically.
  • TCGplayer. If you sell on TCGplayer in the US, being part of TCGplayer is a real advantage.
  • Buylist with store credit applied automatically.

Where it falls short

  • Two subscriptions. BinderPOS plus Shopify, kept in sync.
  • A commission online. 2% of web sales through your website.
  • Cards first. Video games and consoles by condition aren't what it's built around.

Who should choose BinderPOS

A card-only store that already runs on Shopify and leans on selling through TCGplayer in the US. It was built for exactly that, and its TCGplayer integration is something we don't offer.

Who should look elsewhere

Stores selling video games and consoles alongside cards, stores that don't want Shopify underneath their till, and Canadian stores that want Interac, provincial sales tax and Canadian dollars built in. See how we compare with BinderPOS or plans and pricing.
