Offline mode
Keep selling when the internet drops
Internet outages happen, usually on the busiest Saturday. The offline till keeps the line moving.
How it works
While you're online, each till downloads a shelf list with prices and barcodes. If the connection drops, any POS page opens the offline till: scan, take cash or use your own card machine, and hand over change as normal.
Every sale accounted for
Sales queue on the till and sync automatically when the internet is back. Each sale lands once, at the time it happened, so the day's reports and the drawer count still match.
Questions
What can I do offline?
Sell items on the shelf for cash or on your own card machine. Trade-ins, discounts, store credit and graded slabs wait until you're back online.
What happens to the sales?
They're saved on the till and synced when the connection returns, each exactly once and dated when it happened. If a price or tax rate changed in between, the sale is flagged for you to ring up by hand.
